DAELIX AI · GOVERNANCE AND LIMITATIONS

The standard we install against.

Automation is bought on trust and almost never sold with anything to inspect. This page is the inspection. It states what the system is permitted to do, where it stops, how it is corrected, and what it is not for. It is published before purchase, because a machine that cannot be examined before it is installed has no business being installed.

§ 01 · THE UNIT

Nothing is delivered as a general assistant.

The unit is a cell: one workflow, one job, briefed against a written standard agreed before any work begins.

Every cell has the same anatomy. A brief that states the job, the boundaries, the register and the exceptions. An orchestrator that assigns. Workers that each hold one task. A schema check on every output. A verifier that did not produce the work it is judging. A record of every action taken. A defined point at which the work leaves the machine.

The brief is written first. Where the brief is silent, the cell does not improvise. It halts and escalates. Silence is treated as an exception, never as permission.

§ 02 · THE GATES

Some decisions never leave a person.

Held by a named person by default, in every installation: pricing and discounts, refunds and credits, any commitment not already written in the brief, and anything the brief did not foresee.

These are gates, not preferences. Each holds one class of decision and each is named to a role in the installation agreement, so that responsibility has an address rather than a policy.

§ 03 · VERIFICATION

Nothing verifies its own work.

Every output is examined by a separate process with no part in producing it, against the standard the brief sets.

This is the load-bearing rule of the whole architecture. A system that checks itself is a system that agrees with itself.

§ 04 · THE RECORD

Every action is written down.

Every action a cell takes is written down: what was done, when, on what input, with what result, and where it stopped. The record is readable by the client without us, and it is handed over intact at the end of an installation.

Trust here does not rest on our word. It rests on a document you can read on a Sunday without ringing anyone.

§ 05 · WHAT WE BUILD WITH

The fault decides the instrument.

An audit does not produce a technology recommendation. It produces a description of where a business loses time, money and work, and each of those losses has a shape. Some are answered by a system that behaves identically on the thousandth run as the first. Some require judgement about language. Most require both, arranged in a particular order. We build to the shape of the fault. We do not arrive with a preferred tool and look for somewhere to use it.

This company is not built on any single technology and does not depend on one. We build workflows that use language models where language is the problem, and workflows that use none at all where it is not. Both are delivered to the same standard. The client is not asked to care which, only that the fault closes and stays closed.

The test is not whether a task looks technical. It is whether it repeats. If it repeats, it can be bounded and measured. Whether it can then be installed safely is precisely what the audit decides, and where it cannot, the audit says so and we do not build it.

Where a model is used in a workflow, the provider and the jurisdiction of its processing are named to the client in advance, and identifying data is withheld from it wherever the work permits.

We do not publish our construction methods. We publish the anatomy that every construction must satisfy, and that is what this page is.

§ 06 · DATA

The narrowest access that allows the work.

We take access only to the systems named in the agreement, at the lowest permission that lets the work happen, revocable by the client at any moment and without notice to us.

Retention is set per installation and stated in writing. Client data is never sold, and never used to build anything for another client. Where a named provider processes it to perform the work, that provider is disclosed in advance and bound by contract.

§ 07 · FAULT AND REPAIR

Systems fail. What separates a serious installation from an unserious one is the minutes afterwards.

Faults are detected by the system wherever detection is possible, rather than waiting to be reported by the client. On detection the cell contains itself: the action halts or reverses, and the workflow stops rather than continuing in an unknown state. The incident is written to a register with what happened, what it touched, and what was changed.

Then the part that matters. Every fix is examined for whether it is local or general. A local fault is repaired in that cell. A general fault is written into the brief and corrected in every cell of that class, everywhere, at once.

This is the structural advantage over a human process and it is worth stating plainly. A person who makes an error on a Tuesday may make it again in March. Once a shared fault is confirmed, the standard is corrected and every affected cell is retested before release. The correction does not stay with the cell that failed. The system does not merely recover from a fault. It is changed by it, deliberately, and the change is recorded.

Any installation can be halted by the client in one action, stopping every further action the cells would take.

§ 08 · EVERY INSTALLATION IS BUILT FOR THE BUSINESS IT IS INSTALLED IN

What is standardised here is not the workflow. It is the method.

Some patterns already run inside this company and arrive shaped. Others are built specifically to a client's seams, because a business has systems and handovers that ours does not and a workflow that ignores them is decoration. Both are built to the same anatomy, briefed to the same standard, verified by the same separate process and recorded in the same way.

Reliability does not come from having built the identical thing before. It comes from the architecture, and the architecture is the same on the first build as on the hundredth: one job per agent, a written standard, an independent check, a full record, and a defined point where the work leaves the machine.

Nothing goes live on a guess. Every cell runs against real data with sending disabled until it holds the standard, and it is released by a person who has seen it hold. A client's customers are never the test.

We state which parts of an installation are patterns already running and which are built to your operation, because it determines scope, timeline and price. It does not determine whether they work. That is settled before anything is switched on.

§ 09 · LIMITATIONS

Three, stated because knowing them is what makes the rest reliable.

A cell does one job. It is not a mind for hire. It does not decide what the business should be, and it will not answer a question the brief did not anticipate. Its narrowness is the source of its reliability.

Nothing here holds a relationship. Trust between people, a difficult conversation, a judgement with someone's livelihood in it. These are not automation problems and we do not treat them as such.

Automation of a broken process yields a faster broken process. Where the audit finds the fault is in the process rather than the execution, we say so, and we fix the process or we do not install.

§ 10 · CHANGE CONTROL

Versioned and dated.

Material changes to this page are recorded, not silently edited. Questions, concerns and complaints go to bailey@daelixai.com and are answered by a person.

§ 11 · THE LAW

What cannot be overruled by convenience.

LAW 01

Every number comes from inside your business. Every figure we state about your business was measured inside it. Published work may be cited, with its source named. Nothing else counts as evidence.

LAW 02

We promise the record, not perfection. We promise the record: every action logged, every output judged by something that did not produce it.

LAW 03

The work holds the client, not the paperwork. The running arrangement ends on thirty days’ notice, no penalty. Completed installation work is paid on acceptance.

LAW 04

Every price is written before it is agreed. A range in conversation. A binding quotation in writing within twenty-four hours.

LAW 05

If it is not true, it is not said. Misrepresentation ends the engagement, or the employment. First offence.

LAW 06

Judgment stays human. Permanently. Execution is delegated; accountability is not. Autonomy is earned per workflow, on recorded evidence, and revocable in one action. The consequence never leaves this company, and it has a name on it.
